Students interested in dairy or livestock production concentrate on the influence of genetics, physiology, nutrition, and health on the economic production of animals.
Equine ScienceThe University of Connecticut currently maintains approximately 85 horses and specializes in the breeding of Morgans. The program offers academic and extracurricular opportunities.
Ornamental HorticultureProgram reflects the diversity of the industry in Connecticut, offering balanced curricula covering many aspects of plant science. Students may choose to emphasize courses relating to Nursery and Landscaping or Floriculture.
